Using a Webcam
When no other solution is available, writing on paper and sharing your notes via your webcam (or your smartphone) is the final alternative.
Make sure that you use a thick pen tip and write in huge letters such that your audience can still read despite the limited resolution of a webcam in a video conference. Furthermore, lighting is essential in this scenario. Ideally, your camera shows an area that is well-lit via an indirect light source (e.g., direct the light at the wall behind the area you are filming). Direct lighting usually causes shadows that make reading your handwriting very hard.
Using a Mobile Device
Variant 1: Login with Two Devices
Login with both your computer (for showing you) and your mobile device (for showing your handwriting) into BigBlueButton. Make sure that only one of the two devices actually joins the audio conference such there are no echos.
Variant 2: Use your Android Device as a Webcam
- DroidCam Wireless Webcam turns your mobile device into a webcam for your PC. Then somehow show the result in a window on your computer screen and share your screen with BigBlueButton. This might result in better resolution.
